Africanize

Adapt to continent

Africanize means to make African in character, control, or population.

The term appears in postcolonial contexts describing the transition of institutions from European to African leadership: The government moved to Africanize the civil service.

In entomology, Africanized bees are a hybrid strain, more aggressive than European honeybees, that spread north from Brazil after 1957—often called "killer bees" in sensationalized accounts.
