1099-INT
Bank tax form
A 1099-INT is a U.S. tax form reporting interest income earned during the year.
Banks and other financial institutions issue it to account holders who earned more than ten dollars in interest: I got a 1099-INT from my savings account.
The form goes to both the taxpayer and the IRS, ensuring interest income is reported.
