W-2
Annual wage statement
A W-2 is the annual tax form U.S. employers must provide to employees, reporting wages paid and taxes withheld during the year.
Employees use it to file federal and state income tax returns.
The form arrives by late January: I can't file my taxes until I get my W-2.
The name comes from its IRS form number.
