zoological parks
Captive wildlife exhibits
Zoological parks are facilities where wild animals are kept for public display, education, and conservation.
The formal term for what most people simply call zoos.
Modern zoological parks emphasize naturalistic habitats and breeding programs for endangered species, distinguishing themselves from older menagerie-style collections: The city's zoological park houses over 500 species.
