youth sports league
Kids' organized competition
A youth sports league is an organized program where children and teenagers play competitive sports on teams, typically arranged by age group and skill level.
Parents sign kids up for seasons of baseball, soccer, basketball, and other sports, with regular practices and games: My daughter's youth sports league starts in April.
The term covers everything from casual recreational leagues to intensely competitive travel teams.
