working papers
Youth labor permits
Working papers are official documents authorizing a minor to be employed, required in some jurisdictions before someone under a certain age can legally work: She needed to get her working papers before starting the summer job.
The term also refers to preliminary documents in accounting or academic research—draft materials supporting a final product: The auditor's working papers documented every step of the review.
