wooden models
Handcrafted small sculptures
Wooden models are small-scale replicas or representations crafted from wood.
They range from functional prototypes—architects' building models, shipwrights' hull designs—to decorative items and hobbyist projects: He spent months building a wooden model of the Cutty Sark.
Model airplanes, cars, and trains are common subjects.
The term also covers articulated figures used by artists to study human form and movement.
