wireless alert
Signal without wires
A wireless alert is a notification sent to mobile devices, typically phones, without requiring user action.
The term often refers to emergency broadcasts pushed to all devices in an area—weather warnings, AMBER alerts, or public safety announcements: A wireless alert woke everyone at 3 a.m. with tornado warnings.
Also covers any notification received over cellular or Wi-Fi networks.
