Wildscapes are landscapes left in or returned to a natural, uncultivated state—gardens, yards, or public spaces designed to support native plants and wildlife rather than manicured lawns: We converted the backyard into a wildscape with native grasses and pollinator plants.
The term reflects growing interest in ecological gardening and habitat restoration.
