wheat pennies
Old Lincoln coins
Wheat pennies are U.S. one-cent coins minted from 1909 to 1958, featuring two stalks of wheat on the reverse side.
The name distinguishes them from later Lincoln pennies with the Lincoln Memorial design.
Collectors prize certain dates and mint marks, though most wheat pennies remain common: I found a wheat penny in my change.
