welterweights
Between light, middle
Welterweights are boxers or wrestlers competing in a weight class between lightweight and middleweight—typically 140 to 147 pounds in professional boxing.
The term extends to other combat sports with similar weight divisions.
Figuratively, a welterweight is someone of middling importance or ability: He's no heavyweight in politics, but he's more than a welterweight.
