wellness shots

Wellness shots are small, concentrated beverages marketed for health benefits—typically one to two ounces of juice or liquid containing ingredients like ginger, turmeric, apple cider vinegar, or wheatgrass.

Sold at juice bars and grocery stores, they promise quick doses of vitamins, antioxidants, or immune support: I grabbed a ginger wellness shot on my way to work.

The format borrows from alcohol shots—small, meant to be consumed quickly—but positions itself as virtuous rather than indulgent.
