welcome team
Hospitality greeting group
A welcome team is a group assigned to greet and orient newcomers—whether at a church, workplace, conference, or community organization.
Members typically handle introductions, answer questions, and help people feel comfortable in unfamiliar settings: The welcome team handed out name tags and pointed guests toward the coffee.
The term reflects the modern tendency to formalize hospitality roles that once happened informally.
