wedding marches

Aisle-walking accompaniment pieces

Wedding marches are pieces of music traditionally played during wedding ceremonies, typically accompanying the bridal procession or the couple's exit.

The two most famous are Wagner's "Bridal Chorus" (Here Comes the Bride) and Mendelssohn's "Wedding March." The term applies to any processional music used at weddings: They chose a string quartet arrangement for their wedding march.
