wall mural
Large indoor artwork
A wall mural is a large painting or artwork applied directly to a wall surface.
The term is somewhat redundant—murals are by definition wall paintings—but emphasizes the scale and permanence of the work: The city commissioned a wall mural celebrating local history.
Wall murals range from professional public art to DIY home décor.
