walk-off homer
Winning final swing
A walk-off homer is a home run that ends a baseball game immediately because it gives the home team a winning lead in the bottom of the final inning.
The term comes from the losing team walking off the field—there's no need to continue play: He hit a walk-off homer in the ninth to win the series.
