vouchsafe
Deign to bestow
Vouchsafe means to grant or bestow something, often with an air of condescension or from a position of superiority: The king vouchsafed an audience to the petitioners.
The word sounds formal and old-fashioned, appearing mostly in literary or ironic contexts: She finally vouchsafed a reply after three days of silence.
It can also mean to deign or condescend to do something: He didn't vouchsafe to explain his reasoning.
