voter fatigue
Ballot box burnout
Voter fatigue is the weariness or diminished enthusiasm that sets in when people face too many elections, ballot measures, or prolonged campaigns.
It often leads to lower turnout or less informed voting: By the third runoff election, voter fatigue was evident in the dismal turnout.
The term also describes exhaustion from relentless political messaging during campaign season.
