volunteer guide
Free tour leader
A volunteer guide is someone who leads tours or provides information without pay, typically at museums, parks, historic sites, or community organizations.
The term emphasizes both the unpaid nature of the work and the guiding function: The volunteer guide walked us through the battlefield, explaining each monument.
Such guides often have personal passion for or expertise in what they're showing.
