vocal parts
Voices in arrangement
Vocal parts are the distinct melodic lines assigned to different voice ranges in choral or ensemble music.
A four-part harmony typically includes soprano, alto, tenor, and bass parts, each written for singers in that range: The choir director assigned the vocal parts before rehearsal.
In arrangements, vocal parts may also refer to any sung melody as opposed to instrumental accompaniment.
