voice part

Tenor or alto

A voice part is a singer's classification based on vocal range—soprano, alto, tenor, bass, and variations between.

Choral music divides into parts, with each singer assigned to one: She sang the alto voice part.

The term also refers to the written music for that range: I need to learn my voice part before rehearsal.
