uvulas
Soft palate extensions
Uvulas is the plural of uvula, the small fleshy projection that hangs from the soft palate at the back of the throat.
Most people have one uvula, so the plural appears mainly in anatomical or medical contexts comparing multiple individuals: The surgeon had examined hundreds of uvulas over his career.
