unweldable
Resists metal bonding
Unweldable describes a material that cannot be successfully joined by welding, either because of its composition or properties that prevent proper fusion: Certain aluminum alloys are essentially unweldable.
The term applies most often to metals with high carbon content, specific alloys, or materials that crack or weaken under welding heat.
