Unpointed describes something lacking a point or tip, or something from which the point has been removed.
In masonry, unpointed brickwork has mortar joints that haven't been finished or filled.
For written Hebrew or Arabic, unpointed text lacks the diacritical marks that indicate vowels: The Torah scroll is unpointed, requiring readers to know the vowels from memory.
