unpersoned
Made to vanish
Unpersoned describes someone who has been erased from public existence—removed from records, photos, or collective memory as if they never existed.
The term comes from George Orwell's *1984*, where the totalitarian state eliminated inconvenient people from history.
Now used more loosely for anyone cast out of social or professional circles: After the scandal, he was completely unpersoned—his name scrubbed from the company website, his contributions unacknowledged.
