Unmotivated describes lacking drive or enthusiasm to act.
An unmotivated student doesn't care about grades; an unmotivated employee does the minimum.
The word can also mean without apparent cause or justification: The attack seemed completely unmotivated.
In this second sense, it overlaps with unprovoked or inexplicable.
