unentitled
Lacking rightful claim
Unentitled describes someone who lacks a sense of entitlement—who doesn't assume they deserve special treatment or automatic access to things.
It can be approving, suggesting humility: Despite his wealth, he remained remarkably unentitled.
The word also describes something that has no title: an unentitled manuscript, an unentitled painting.
This sense is rarer, as *untitled* dominates for works without names.
