undertrain
Not enough conditioning
To undertrain is to train insufficiently—not enough volume, intensity, or duration to achieve desired results.
In athletics, undertraining leaves performance gains on the table: She suspected she'd been undertraining and added another session per week.
In machine learning, an undertrained model hasn't learned enough from its data to make accurate predictions.
The opposite of overtrain.
