uncultivatable

Unfit for crops

Uncultivatable describes land that cannot be farmed or made productive—too rocky, dry, steep, or otherwise unsuitable for growing crops: Much of the desert remains uncultivatable without irrigation.

The word extends figuratively to minds or relationships that resist development or improvement.
