twosomes
Groups of two
Twosomes are pairs of people, especially couples or partners in an activity.
The word often appears in golf, where a twosome is two players going around together: We joined up as a twosome for the back nine.
It can also describe romantic pairs: The restaurant was full of twosomes on Valentine's Day.
