two-week wait
Post-ovulation anticipation period
The two-week wait is the anxious period between a fertility treatment or ovulation and when a pregnancy test can reliably detect results.
The term is standard in fertility communities, where the wait feels interminable: I'm in the two-week wait and trying not to obsess over every symptom.
Sometimes abbreviated TWW.
