two-way mirror
Interrogation room window
A two-way mirror is a sheet of glass that acts as a mirror on one side but can be seen through from the other, typically used in police interrogation rooms and surveillance settings.
The effect depends on lighting—the brighter side sees a mirror, the darker side sees through.
Also called a one-way mirror, which describes the same object from the opposite perspective.
