twilight anesthesia
Semi-aware surgical state
Twilight anesthesia is a state of sedation lighter than general anesthesia, where the patient remains semiconscious but relaxed and unlikely to remember the procedure.
Also called twilight sedation or conscious sedation, it's commonly used for minor surgeries and dental work: They used twilight anesthesia for my wisdom teeth extraction.
