trust the process

Faith in method

Trust the process means to have faith that a system, method, or series of steps will eventually produce good results, even when progress isn't visible.

The phrase gained prominence from the Philadelphia 76ers' rebuilding strategy in the mid-2010s, where fans were asked to accept losing seasons as necessary steps toward future success.

Now used broadly for any situation requiring patience: I know the diet isn't showing results yet, but trust the process.
