tropical storm warning
Coastal evacuation alert
A tropical storm warning is an official alert that tropical storm conditions—sustained winds of 39 to 73 miles per hour—are expected in a specified coastal area, usually within 36 hours.
Unlike a watch, which indicates possible conditions, a warning means the threat is imminent and residents should complete storm preparations: A tropical storm warning has been issued for the Florida Keys.
