tri-series
Three-nation cricket competition
A tri-series is a cricket tournament involving three national teams, typically playing each other in a round-robin format followed by finals.
The format was popular from the 1970s through 2000s, particularly in Australia: The tri-series final went to a super over.
Less common now as bilateral series and major tournaments dominate the calendar.
