traybakes

Baked goods from shallow pans

Traybakes are baked goods—cakes, brownies, flapjacks, or bar cookies—made in a shallow rectangular pan and cut into portions after baking.

The term is primarily British: I brought traybakes for the office.

The single-pan method makes them practical for feeding groups or selling at bake sales.
