trading hours
Exchange operating times
Trading hours are the times when a financial exchange or market is open for business.
Stock exchanges, commodity markets, and currency exchanges each set their own trading hours: The New York Stock Exchange's trading hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Outside these hours, markets are closed or operate with limited after-hours trading.
Retail businesses also have trading hours—the times they're open to customers.
