tradies

Blue-collar skilled workers

Tradies is Australian and New Zealand slang for tradespeople—electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and other skilled manual workers.

The term is informal but not dismissive: The tradies showed up at seven to start on the bathroom.

A single worker is a tradie.
