trackpoint
Laptop pointing stick
A trackpoint is a small pointing device embedded in a laptop keyboard, typically a rubber nub positioned between the G, H, and B keys.
Users push it in different directions to move the cursor, offering an alternative to touchpads or external mice.
Also called a pointing stick or, informally, a nub or nipple.
IBM ThinkPads popularized the design, and Lenovo continues it: I prefer the trackpoint to the touchpad for precise cursor control.
