tower collapse
Tall building falls
Tower collapse is the structural failure of a tall building or structure, causing it to fall in on itself or topple.
The term gained particular weight after the September 11, 2001 attacks, when the World Trade Center towers collapsed: We watched the tower collapse in disbelief.
Also used for demolitions, engineering failures, or natural disasters that bring down towers.
