touchless dispenser
Hands-free soap machine
A touchless dispenser releases its contents—soap, sanitizer, paper towels—when it detects a hand nearby, without requiring physical contact.
The technology became ubiquitous during the COVID-19 pandemic as a hygiene measure: Every bathroom in the building now has touchless dispensers.
Also called automatic or hands-free dispensers.
