tippy taps
Happy dog feet
Tippy taps describes the excited, rapid footwork of a dog anticipating something good—typically food, a walk, or their owner's return.
The phrase captures the light, quick stepping in place that looks like the dog is dancing with impatience: Look at those tippy taps—she knows it's treat time.
Sometimes extended to humans showing similar giddy anticipation.
