til

Up to, shortened

Til is an informal spelling of until, common in casual writing and texting: I'll be here til five.

It also appears in the phrase til death do us part, though the traditional form uses till.

Some consider til nonstandard since till is actually the older word, not a shortened form of until.

Separately, til (or teel) refers to sesame, especially in South Asian contexts where til seeds feature prominently in cooking and religious observances.
