since

After that time

Since is most often an adverb but when followed by a single noun phrase, a date, or a point in time, it acts as a preposition to indicate the starting time of something: We’ve lived here since 1998.

As a conjunction, since can introduce a point in time in the form of a clause (since I was five years old), or it can state the reason or justification for something, like because: I worked in the lobby since it’s the only place with free Wi-Fi.
