first-person narration
Speaker tells own tale
First-person narration is storytelling from the perspective of a character within the story, using "I" or "we." The narrator experiences events directly and shares their own thoughts and perceptions: The novel's first-person narration made the protagonist's anxiety feel immediate.
This perspective creates intimacy but limits the reader to what the narrator knows or chooses to reveal.
