thermolabile
Degrades when heated
Thermolabile describes substances that are unstable or easily destroyed by heat.
The term appears most often in biochemistry and pharmacology, where proteins, enzymes, and vaccines may be thermolabile—requiring refrigeration to maintain potency: Thermolabile vaccines must be kept in cold storage.
The opposite is thermostable.
