Short-term liberation
Temporary release is a period when someone confined to an institution—usually a prison or psychiatric facility—is allowed to leave for a limited time.
The release may be for medical treatment, family emergencies, work programs, or gradual reintegration before full release: He was granted temporary release to attend his mother's funeral.
