Movie with dialogue
A talking picture is a motion picture with synchronized sound, especially dialogue.
The term emerged in the late 1920s when sound films replaced silent movies, and "talkies" became the common shorthand.
Now that virtually all films have sound, the distinction has become historical: The Jazz Singer was one of the first talking pictures.
