take this

Accept my offer

An imperative phrase accompanying the physical act of handing something to someone, or preceding an attack or forceful action.

In the first sense, it simply directs attention to a transfer: Here, take this—you'll need it.

In the second, it signals aggression, often preceding a punch or weapon strike: Take this, you bastard!

The phrase appears frequently in action films and video games as a combat exclamation.
